ACSR Aluminium Conductor Cable Aluminum Conductor Reinforced With Steel
For added strength, ACSR are offered with steel contents ranging from 6% to 40%. Higher strength ACSR conductors are frequently utilized in installations with exceptionally long spans, overhead earth wires, and river crossings. Because the ACSR conductor may be made to varying tensile strengths against any given resistance, it can go farther with fewer supports when its tensile strength is high and it is lightweight. On high and extra high voltage overhead lines, a substantially higher corona limit can be achieved because to the larger diameter of the ACSR conductor.
Applications
Conductor(AAC and ACSR) have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels,because they have such good characteristics as simple structure,convenient installation and maintenance,low cost large transmission capacity.And they are also suitable for laying across rivers valleys and the places where special geographical features exist.
