This ACSR (Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced) cable is manufactured with a stranded aluminium conductor and an aluminium‑clad steel reinforced core, designed for overhead power transmission and distribution systems. The cable is produced in accordance with ASTM B549, ASTM B232, and BS 215‑2 specifications, with conductor sizes available in AWG (American Wire Gauge) designations. The aluminium‑clad steel core provides mechanical reinforcement while eliminating the risk of galvanic corrosion between the core and the outer aluminium strands—a limitation inherent in conventional galvanized steel core ACSR designs. The conductor consists of concentric‑lay stranded aluminium 1350‑H19 wires surrounding the aluminium‑clad steel core, offering a combination of electrical conductivity and tensile strength. This cable is suitable for long‑span overhead installations where both mechanical load‑carrying capacity and stable electrical performance are required.

    Used to supply 3 phase power, usually from a pole- mounted transformer, to the user's service head where connection to the service entrance cable is made. To be used at voltages of 600 volts or less phase to phase and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulated conductors or 90°C for crosslinked polyethylene (XLP) insulated conductors.
Construction
    Conductors are concentrically stranded, compressed 1350-H19 aluminum. Insulated with either polyethylene or XLP crosslinked polyethylene. Neutral messengers are concentrically stranded AAC/AAAC/ACSR. One conductor is manufactured with an extruded ridge for phase identification.
