This All Aluminium Conductor (AAC) is manufactured as a bare overhead conductor for power transmission and distribution networks, consisting of concentrically stranded aluminium 1350-H19 wires. The conductor is produced in accordance with AWG sizing, ASTM B231, and BS 215-1 standards, ensuring compatibility with international overhead line design practices. The aluminium strands are compacted to form a smooth outer surface, which reduces wind resistance and corona effects during operation. AAC conductors are supplied in a range of stranding configurations and conductor sizes, suitable for short to medium span overhead installations where mechanical loading is moderate. The conductor's lightweight construction simplifies handling and stringing, while the bare aluminium surface provides adequate corrosion resistance for outdoor exposure.

    Used to supply 3 phase power, usually from a pole- mounted transformer, to the user's service head where connection to the service entrance cable is made. To be used at voltages of 600 volts or less phase to phase and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulated conductors or 90°C for crosslinked polyethylene (XLP) insulated conductors.
Construction
    Conductors are concentrically stranded, compressed 1350-H19 aluminum. Insulated with either polyethylene or XLP crosslinked polyethylene. Neutral messengers are concentrically stranded AAC/AAAC/ACSR. One conductor is manufactured with an extruded ridge for phase identification.
