The ACSR overhead conductor consists of a galvanized steel core wrapped by concentric layers of stranded aluminum wire. The steel core carries the mechanical load, while the aluminum strands provide the conductive path, allowing the cable to serve overhead transmission and distribution routes where both tensile strength and current capacity are required. The conductor is supplied in bare form for direct installation on insulators and support structures. Its composite design helps control sag over long spans, and the galvanized core offers protection against atmospheric corrosion during outdoor service. Conductor sizes and stranding patterns are produced to applicable international standards, with documentation available for project verification.

Steel Reinforced Aluminum Construction
The conductor combines a galvanized steel core with outer aluminum strands, delivering mechanical reinforcement alongside electrical conductivity for overhead lines.
Concentric Stranded Aluminum Layers
