This JL/G1A ACSR conductor is a bare overhead cable formed by stranding aluminum wires in concentric layers around a galvanized steel core. The designation JL/G1A follows the Chinese standard naming convention for steel-reinforced aluminum conductors, indicating a galvanized steel core combined with electrical-grade aluminum strands. The steel core carries the tensile load, while the aluminum layers conduct current, making the conductor suitable for 10kV medium voltage overhead distribution and transmission routes. The cable is supplied uninsulated for direct mounting on insulators and support structures, and its composite construction helps control sag across moderate to long spans. Galvanized Steel Reinforced Core
The core is zinc-coated to resist atmospheric corrosion while providing the tensile strength required for overhead spans beyond the reach of all-aluminum conductors.
Concentric Stranded Aluminum Layers
Electrical-grade aluminum wires are stranded in concentric layers, forming a uniform conductive path and allowing the conductor to be reeled, strung, and tensioned with conventional overhead line equipment.
Bare Overhead Construction
Supplied without insulation for direct installation on insulators and support hardware, reducing material complexity compared with insulated overhead cables.
