The Characteristics of ACSR:

1. Galvanized Steel Reinforced Core
   The core is zinc-coated to resist atmospheric corrosion while providing the tensile strength required for overhead spans beyond the capability of all-aluminum conductors.

2. Concentric Stranded Aluminum Layers
   Electrical-grade aluminum wires are stranded in concentric layers around the core, forming a uniform conductive path and allowing the conductor to be reeled, strung, and tensioned with standard overhead line equipment.

3. Bare Overhead Construction
   Supplied without insulation for direct mounting on insulators and support hardware, with the aluminum surface forming a natural oxide layer that resists weathering in most outdoor environments.

4. 25/4 Stranding Designation
   The conductor is identified by its 25/4 stranding configuration, which defines the ratio of aluminum to steel wires and determines its mechanical and electrical characteristics.

5. Balanced Mechanical and Electrical Performance
   The aluminum-to-steel ratio is selected to balance current-carrying capacity with sag and tension behavior, supporting reliable performance across transmission and distribution applications.

Pay attention to the following steps during installation:

1. Tension control: It is recommended to control the tension at 20% -30% of the rated value to avoid excessive stretching.
2. Sag adjustment: Adjust the sag according to the ambient temperature, generally within the range of 1% -3% span.
3. Connection processing: Use specialized crimping tools, and the recommended crimping pressure is 20-30MPa.
