This AAC (All Aluminum Conductor) is a bare stranded cable manufactured entirely from electrical-grade aluminum wires and offered in multiple nominal sizes for medium voltage overhead power line construction. Because it contains no steel core, the conductor relies on its aluminum strands for both current conduction and mechanical support. This construction simplifies jointing, avoids bimetallic corrosion at connections, and eliminates magnetic losses associated with steel-reinforced designs. The cable is supplied uninsulated for direct mounting on insulators and line hardware.
